Kompania Piwowarska is selling Jan Kulczyk’s furniture at WOŚP auction

Do you want to feel like one of the richest people in Poland at take a seat at Jan Kulczyk’s desk? Take part in the auction organised by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) and place your bid! Kompania Piwowarska once again supports WOŚP and auctions 9 items. The auction ends on 17th January 2012.

It is Kompania Piwowarska’s tradition to support the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity every year. This year will see “A Grand Finale with great pomp! Healthy mom, healthy newborn, healthy child, or state-of-the-art medical equipment for the newborns and insulin pumps for pregnant women with diabetes.” Thanks to joint efforts and involvement of many people, Polish hospitals will receive state-of-the-art equipment.

“The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is an amazing social agitation, a sociological phenomenon, a part of the Polish culture and a permanent item on most Poles’ calendar. The enormous aid the Orchestra offers every year is not only about money collected for specific purposes, but also about the means to attain the goal or social involvement, learning how to offer mutual help and sensitivity to other people’s problems. Therefore, there is no option not to be a part of it – either individually or on behalf of an nstitution or the company. Also Kompania Piwowarska, its employees and co-workers, in various ways „perform till the end of the world and one day more!”, says Katarzyna Wilczewska, Public Affairs Manager

Jan Kulczyk’s furniture for sale
Furniture with a soul and a past, which in the years 1996-2009 decorated the office of Dr Jan Kulczyk, the then Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Kompania Piwowarska, will get its way to the winner of the auction ending on 17th January 2012. The set of furniture includes an elegant Italian  GIORGETTI table and a Giorgetti leather chair,  or Italian art made of precious types of wood, designed by one of the most renown architects and designers, Leon Krier. The table has seen many distinguished guests and business meetings.

From Kompania to Tuscany
Seven paintings from the “Tuscany” series by Ewa Trefon we created during a summer Outdoor Painting Workshop held in Tuscany as part of the "Passion Inclusive" programme and “What Holds You Back?” competition. The competition took place in 2010 under the patronage and sponsorship of Grolsch, a brand owned by Kompania Piwowarska. All acrylics on canvas are singed by the artist. The auction ends on 17the January 2012.

Help WOŚP

Siepomaga.pl is the first and the largest aid platform in Poland connecting people in need with those eager to help. The leitmotif of the portal says ”Together we’ve got the power” and reminds the community of Helpers - consisting of 12 thousand people - that even a small donation multiplied by many good hearts equals great power.

Siepomaga.pl was created on 16.04.2009 to offer free-of-charge support to non-governmental organisations in raising funds for charity. It operates under honorary auspices of the Ministry of Health. It has been working with 438 non-governmental organisation and carried out over 300 charity campaigns. In November 2011 the e-donations counter showed PLN 1 000 000. Single payments ranged from PLN 1 to PLN 24 thousand.
