Piotr Jurjewicz is the new Vice-president: Marketing at Kompania Piwowarska
Piotr Jurjewicz, co-author of Tyskie brand success, is coming back to Poland!
Effective 1 February 2012, he is assuming the position of Vice-president: Marketing for Kompania Piwowarska.
Piotr Jurjewicz has come to Poland from Columbia where he was vice-president: marketing for SABMiller Bavaria. For many years, he has been successful in various subsidiaries of SABMiller around the world. He was vice-president: marketing in Peru (2006-2009) and Romania (2004-2006); he was also a regional marketing manager at SABMiller Europe headquartered in Budapest (2002-2004). He had worked for Kompania Piwowarska by 2002.
With Kompania form the very beginning
Piotr was part of the process of establishing Kompania Piwowarska. He had worked for Lech Browary Wielkopolski (now Kompania Piwowarska) since 1996, first as a brand manager and later on as the public affairs manager and director in charge of marketing innovations. In 1998, he was marketing director at Browary Tyskie Górny Śląsk (now KP); a year later he became a brand manager and brand director for the newly established Kompania Piwowarska.
The father of Tyskie brand’s success
As marketing director in the Tychy brewery, in 1998 he cooperated with Robert Priday, now President of Kompania Piwowarska. At that time, both gentlemen were expecting Tyskie brand to become a huge success. A number of strategic projects in place resulted in Tyskie assuming the leading position in the Polish beer market. Rob Priday believes that this is an excellent example of Piotr’s wide knowledge and his uncanny business sense. For over a decade, Tyskie has been the biggest beer brand in Poland.
Education and family
Piotr Jurjewicz is a graduate of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań; he also has an MBA from Nottingham Trent University in cooperation with Wielkopolska School of Business in Poznań.
He is married and has a 10-year-old son.
